I'm back!

Hi guys!

It's been a long time that I don't write here.

The English is an amazing language. At last month I was on vacation and almost didn’t study English in this period. This didn’t help me, because back at school was more hard.

Now, I started study again, this time around with more  motivation. And I believe that until end of this year my english will be best than today. How I am studying?

I  did download of app “ Inglês On Line” in Google Play. This app has been more important for me.

I believe that it will help you too.

Every day I listen one podcast, just one once time. First I don’t read the transcript, I just listen.

During one week I listen the same podcast. After I read the transcription I try write a text based on informations of podcast with my own words.

This way I improve my vocabulary and practice listening.

Because He lives

This music is my favorite song.
When I hear and reflect about it I feel me loved, cared and protected from God.
I know, He lives. And so, I can face tomorrow with faith and joy.
Then I can live with calm and assurance like a born baby in father's hold.

An empty grave is there to prove
My Saviour lives


Because He lives
I can face tomorrow

Who wants to receive this “blessing”?

“In fact, everyone Who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus Will be persecuted.’’
                                                                             2 Timothy 3:12
Who wants to receive this “blessing”?

Be persecuted is a prophecy for us. The called Christians.
It’s a hard word.  Today we are listening in all place : we borned to win and to have everything. To be rich and be healthy.
But when we read this Paul’s text, we perceive a different thing: Persecuted.
And when we lock for Jesus in Gospels and as he learned about Christian Life, we can see a bigger difference:  To lose for to win. Cross. Suffering. To leave father and mother. Fight. Separations. To die.
This words don’t seems to with prosperity, health, good life, a lot cars, beautiful houses…

How do understand it?

Congratulations Atlético Mineiro

The world maybe don't perceive, but today is a different day. Today, millions of Atlético Mineiro's fans woke up happy today ( I mean, those that slept  - i think anybody slept last night).
Happiness. Beautiful word.This is what each atleticano (this way are known Atletico fans) is feeling now.
What came before happiness? in this case, tension, afraid, anxious and passion.
There was 42 years that they was waiting a important celebration, a title of expression.
42 years just listening about past's history.42 years.
But, all atleticano always believed: A day that will change.
This day came .
The Atlético Mineiro is Champion. It is the best of América. After 42 years with suffering, today is holiday for them. But, they will go to work. They will wear Atético's shirt. They will show for all that today is different.
The celebrations continued well into the night and will continue during the day, the week, the month and during each respiration, each pulsation of atleticano's heart.

Why?

'Cause it is passion. It's be Atleticano.

Wedding!

Hi everyone!
Today is a special day for me!
Why?
It's the first time that I will celebrate a wedding!

The bride and groom invited me for this great and important day.
I'm very excited and happy.
I will talk about love, respect and GOD.
I hope that be a unforgetable moments for them and also for me.

What is God for you?

When I think about it, my thought goes on for far... and I start to think as I arrived until here. And as God has care of me. So, I need thank HIm every day.
God for me is everything. Is the air that I breath... Is the life...Love...
He gave me peace...joy...forgiveness...very suprises, good surprises.
He even helps to study!
I love God.

And about you?

Plans today

Today will be a great day.
In the morning I'm going to preach at Baptist Church "Portas de Sião" at camp for teenagers and younger. I will speak abou to believe in your dreams and never give up.
I believe that will be a moment of to learn and teach about God's love. I am happy a lot with it.
Tonight I'm goint to preach at Baptist Church where I'm pastor.
There I'm goint to speak about forgiveness by GOD e of love his.

So, God blesses us this day.

My journey in English!

Today was my last day before vacations in my english course.
I believe that learned a lot in a three months. My teacher keeps the focus on conversation and that is very important for me.
In next half year I will to study more and more. I need to improve my vocabulary and my listen.
I intend to buy a novel in english, a book. I found a many options in "Leitura Library" at Shopping Cidade Mall. Whom live in Belo Horizone,actually, it is a great option.

I  bought the book "Touchstone 2" of Cambridge, seems a good tool for to study. There are two books : The Workbook, with exercises for practice and the other book is about grammar with cd.
I found it in SBS Library, expert store in english.

In many moments I think in give up, because when I watch movie in english and don't understand nothing what the characters are speaking, seems that I don't learn anything. I don't have difficulty to read book or movie's subtitle.

To practice, I installed in my cell phone the apps PALM TALK of GOOGLE APPS. With this app you can to know many people and talk with them.

Read

Last week I read the book " The Phantom of Opera". Is a great book!
My english teacher asked me for to read this book for improve my vocabulary. And it worked very well.
It was my the best english class. I got to talk and write about book. I was very happy.
Before I couldn't get talk, I had shy. Today I am more quiet, I hope that in next class I will can continue growing.

The protests in Brazil show to world the real situation in our country.
The education, security, health, public transport are in total decadence.
Little investiments in these points and expensive investiments in World's Cup have been the principal reason for all that happened in last weeks.

While mayors and president don't decide what will they do, we, the people, we are going to streets cry and protest against politics's corrupt. Until the change in Brazil happen.

And, It isn't about 20 cents.

When the evolution isn't evident..

You study for long  time. You read magazines, you watch movie, sitcom, talk show and you listen music in english.

So, you decide talk with others people in english ...and...You don't get. You don't remember nothing about what you studied.

Today I felt that way.

And I confessed,the willingness to give up is real. Maybe stronger than willingness to study and to continue. Maybe...maybe 'cause  when I start imagine the possibility of to undestand a movie, a music, to talk with new friends in facebook or skype my motivation to study back. So, I restart.

Don't give up!

When it seems that you have not learned anything?

Really, in some moments seems that I have not learned anything.
This happen when I am trying hear a america's music, movies or tv's seríes and I don't understand any word.

To be honest, sometimes this make me want to give up.
But, I remember that I studied a lot to learn what I know now. It seems few, but is many important don't forget and to value it.

Is very important to study teaching materials that are in your learning's nivel.
I believe that can help, when to give up seems be better than to study.

God Blesses me

Every day I talk to God about my plans.
In my life I have examples of the miracles he do.
Today, when I woke up and saw the sun, I perceived that He love me.
I depend Him.
His promisses for me are amazing. I'm happy because I met the God's word in a important moment in my life: When I was teenager. This  have made all difference for me. In my choices. In my decisions. In my expectations.
So, happening whatever in my life I'm sure, God make all for my good.
I liked to fight street, I worried with small things that today doesn't do difference for me.
Today I look my past and as I thought in to do things wrong and off of God's will.
I was driving my life to precipice. In at moment He rescued me and gave me new life.

I'm grateful for it.

I Thank God.

Laziness to study.

There are many people that intend to have everything, but many them don't do happens, instead to them hope that things come and your hands.
There's no point to have many books, if there is lazy to open them.

Be happy is fantastic.

When you  know somebody that full all your life, the happiness stay with you.
Nothing can change your good mood. Nothing can take your smile.
Then, your days are especial. Every morning there is a reason to thank.
Every nights are lovely and cozy nights.
Back to  home after a hard day and to have the pleasure of meet rest, is a God's gift.

So, I have somebody that completed my life and I want live with her forever.
I will be the reason of smile her. I will love her always. I will take care her.

if you have someone like that, Love it, with all your strenght.

As I study?

Olá, neste post vou escrever em português.

Como estou recomeçando os meus estudos, pois fiquei praticamente um ano sem estudar de verdade, é como se estivesse no ínicio de tudo. Pois, como sabemos o inglês sem a prática acaba caindo no esquecimento.

Pois bem, nesse retorno, mudei alguns hábitos.
Por exemplo, uso mais o dicionário impresso do que o Google Translate. Entendo que dessa forma memorizo melhor o significado das palavras e a maneira que é escrita.

Também tento traduzir letras de músicas que aprecio e alguns pequenos textos.

Alguns sites como o English Experts me ajudam bastante, pois além de dicas de que quem já passou por isso, você pode encontrar também exercícios de acordo com seu nível. Very nice!

Como vou a igreja, comprei uma Bíblia Trilingue. Assim, não desgrudo do idioma em nenhum momento, além do Facebook em inglês, celular, jogos do playstation, etc...e tal. Isso tem sido muito bom para que eu possa "pensar" em inglês em todo momento.

Assisto algumas seríes em inglês, porém, isso é apenas para "acostumar" meus ouvidos com os sons do idioma. Não fico chateado se não entendo tudo, pois sei que meu nível ainda não é tão bom assim...rsrs..


Comecei uma aula particular de inglês, pois acredito que tem será bem melhor do que a aula em grupo. Tem sido ótimo.

Bom, então é isso. Nos próximos posts, volto a escrever em inglês.

Routine (Past Tense)

Good Afternoon,

Yesterday was very restful for me. I would go to english class but my teacher called me and canceled, 'cause was raining a lot. So, i decided sleep a bit . I was very tired, so I slept a lot and I woke up at 2:00 p.m. Can you imagine?

Then, I got up and put my food in microwave. While my lunch was being prepared, I took a shower.

After I had a lunch, I watched TV. I like study while watch "Friends" or " Modern Family", I really think  this series very funny!

 Night, I watched a soccer play and after I went to my bed...some more rest.

This my homework with verbs in past...ok?

Didn't I speak anything in english?

In first day in my english school, I had a sensation that was lost. It seems that everyone spoke English, but I did not. But, yesterday I heard podcast very interesting of English Expert, about "Como começar a estudar inglês". This podcast many people tell like learned english, even alone.

In a moment of post, I learned that all of us know speak any words in english. For example: Thank you, I love you, I'm sorry, welcome, kiss...

Então, para escrever este pequeno texto, confesso que algumas palavras foram novas para mim, por exemplo, a minha intenção " my intend to". Antes eu havia escrito " I pretend", pensando que significava: eu pretendo. Mas não é bem assim. Segundo o Dicionário OXFORD ESCOLAR, o verbo TO PRETEND significa "fingir, simular ou fingir ser alguém ou algo"...e é claro que essa não é minha intenção.O correto é I intend to.

Estava na dúvida com a palavra erro, se usaria error ou mistake. Pelo que vi, as duas tem o mesmo sentido, decidi por escrever error, por que assim, aqueles que, como eu, estão começando, vão entender melhor o significado.

Bom, acho que é só isso por enquanto...
